This verse is my life verse, if you've been a part of my blog since the beginning or was bored enough to read from the very start of it; you will notice that i have created a card using this verse. It is what gets me through those rough patches of my life.

A new semester has begun and i know that in this it is the beginning of a transitional season of my spiritual walk. During my winter break, God allowed me to go through a time of tearing down and times of crying. In this process, He allowed me to see things in my life where I need to depend on Him. To accept this new season of building up and to forsee a near future for times of laughter. In the circumstances I was in, although there has not been a conclusion; I know that my life verse is what I cling on to. I know that God's ultimate purpose and in His soverignty His glory will shine forth; all I have to do is press on.

This new year will bring forth so many opportunities for me to learn and grow but most of all, I get to be a dependant and a recipient of His grace and mercy. For that, I am truly grateful.

Part of the ministry I am so joyful that I get to be a part of is Kids Rock. It's a wonderful team of leaders who take church to an area of our city that is in poverty and filled with crime and forgotten. The kids there are so joyful that they get to learn about God thru games, songs and skits. This recreation of the armor of God was in part of the upcoming Arise Woman's conference. The idea behind it was "Princess Warrior" and with Kids Rock, we had a recent graduate of the discipleship program with the kids. We had our first little girl graduate, Charity, who was chosen to be photographed with the pink princess recreation of the armor. We are very proud to have her, she has shown herself very bright and helpful and even brings others out to partake in the Kids Rock ministry.

Kids Rock has been a vital part of this community and I know because of God, He will shine His light in this forgotten area.

Playing Tourist

The beginning of the year is always an exciting time. The newness of it all...it even smells fresh and new.

Today was my first day of Physical Therapy and I'm so super excited about walking again! This morning as i was leaving, my mom noticed it too, she said "you're walking nice now." Nice!!! Thank You, Lord! <3 That made me feel awesome. Then I walked out only to watch my bus dive by...but it's all good because I can WALK! Even in my boot it's gravy. One of my FaceBook posts stated "that's my pimp walk, my gangsta stroll...don't make me Jackie Chan yo a** with my boot!" lmao...My Dr is hella cool and smart! It was super cool to hear that he wants me off my boot in a month! Yay! After my PT visit, I got to play tourist at the state capital. It was really educational and I was hoping to shake hands with our city's representative-I graduated with him! I got to Sit on the the governor's chair and rub elbows with a super cute state capital guy, good thing I looked cute today! ;pPlaying tourist on our beautiful island is the best, I think imma do it more often! <3

Hello 2012

Hello 2012....

Looking back at 2011 wasn't all that exciting until the tail end of the year. It really seemed like the longest year ever and yesterday,as I celebrated the new year, it seemed like an ordinary day.

The beginning of the year I was severely depressed, even suicidal; I don't know why I felt like that. Only God knows why he allowed that dark time to happen. I lost my job in April and I've been completely depended on His provisions, grace and mercy. In August, I was accepted to New Hope Christian College in hopes to gain a deeper knowledge and understanding of my Heavenly Father.

This first semester has stretched me and I've had the pleasure of going thru a deeper level with Him. I've never done as well in school as I have at NHCC. For the first time in my academic career, I received 3 A's and one B. I was shooting for the straight A's but I failed to do the best I could in my Character Formation class. I hope this sets the bar as far as grades are concerned. The lessons I've learned and I know I will continue to learn are the most valueable. I had a chance to Critically Think past superficial topics, write my fairy tale in my Art of Story class, really understand the heart and art of true worship, and know that it's a continual process to form my character using the mind of Christ as an example.

For the upcoming year, scholastically I strive obtain straight A's; to continue to cultivate relationships in school, church, friends, and the new people I will meet this year; and continue to depend on His ways in everything I do. This can only happen through continual prayers and fasting. In Jesus Name, here's to an outstanding 2012!!!!

Season of Ouch

On October 17, 2011; I ruptured my achilles when I was skateboarding down Ala Moana Park. It's been two months and I'm having the time of my life. Although the first two weeks sucked, I realized and got to experience so much and I'm so very grateful for each moment. The story of how it happened is pretty funny, actually.

So I was super excited when I met this guy on the bus {it was super late, I was hanging out in town with a friend of mine} who had a skateboard. If you know me, I'll talk to anyone and this night my new friend was talking to me about skateboarding. He told me he was actually selling a board but he won't be selling in until two weeks-or I didn't have money until two weeks? I forgot...but anyway; he ended selling me a Sector 9 longboard and I was super stoked about it. That was Saturday.

Sunday I got to cruz around some more with "Captian J" but I had to study for my Critical Thinking final the next day.

On Monday, I was even more excited because after my final, I asked another friend of mine to teach me the basics...it was cool and then I set out to ride around at the beach. At the beach I got to practice what i just learned but as I cruzed around the park i heard a "pop". i felt pain but i was more worried about my board. It flew into the street and I somehow mananged a matrix style move,{i didn't fall!} causing me to run out to the street to grab my board and then I sat it down on the grass, and sat on my board contemplating what I was going to do next. I really didn't know who to call or what to do for that matter that I walked a block out to the nearest Starbucks to webMD my injury.

At Sbux, the worker had given me a large bag of ice while i consulted the great internet doctor. I was thinking of just walking back to the bus stop to go back home but the great old webMD said to go to the doctor since I heard a "pop". I kinda knew that it was my achilles that popped, i think i read about it happening to someone before. So I called my BFF and my sister, both was not able to pick me up. So I ended up walking out 4 blocks to another main street to catch the next bus to take me to the hospital.

Half way to the hospital, i really thought i could get back on my board {i thought it would be easier if i rode out there-yeah, i'm not that smart} but my leg was not having it. it was worth the try.

At the hospital, the Physician Assistant had confirmed that it was my achilles that ruptured, they took an ex-ray and placed a tempoary cast on. They told me to go to the doctor in a few days and to stay off my feet, they also taught me to walk with my crutches. As I left Queens' i met a guy who was tripping out when I was telling him about my injury; he was in shock when he saw me walking out of the ER with my crutches and skateboard. Like i said, it was pretty funny.

On Thursday i called the dr and he said to come in the next day. So Friday the dr seen me and scheduled an emergency surgery for the following day. Saturday I got the surgery and by his terms "it was a good clean repair". NICE. I stayed home for a week more and I was miserable because I was missing so much school. I was missing my friends and I hate staying home sick or missing lectures for class. UGH.

I finally got back to classes and it took me a while to catch up but more for later....

On October 17th, while i was cruzing around Ala Moana Beach park with my Captain J, {my sector 9 skateboard}, my achilles ruptured. It was a full tear, I heard the pop and in pictures you can see where it was severed. After I got over myself and realized that there is more to life then being depressed and bumed out, God spoke to me and made me realize that it's not about me. I've had such a bad attitude and so selfish that I just need to get over it.

Today, I am establishing myself as CEO, Creative Executive Officer of {my life} Permanent Vacations. I want to work hard to financially sustain my lifestyle--if you've ever seen my FaceBook quote, "Your job doesn't define who you are, money is just a necessary evil to maintain a chosen lifestyle; altho more of it makes life a little easier."

What I do: I can babysit, administrative stuff, organize, clean houses {altho at the time being, i'll be hobbling around your home while i clean}, answer phones, office stuff, create greeting cards via my A Muse Studio business, and hopefully become a consultant for Mary Kay.

The Pursuit of God, a book report

Introduction & Overview

A. W. Tozer wrote a book titled "The Pursuit of God", which is 75 pages short but one I could not grasp a hold of. The idea of pursuing God has been my lifetime goal; the act of following after a God that is so magnificent, so wonderful, so full of unfailing love, captivates me to the point of wanting to fully grasp and understand this book. Just reading the table of contents sounds so fascinating that each chapter is a hopeful revelation of God's path to Him. I believe that the reason why I have not fully grasped this book is that I may not be allowing the words to penetrate my personal perception of how to pursue God in a personal way.

The thought-provoking chapter titles such as "the universal presence", "the speaking voice" and "the gaze of the soul", reverts my imagination into new revelations of new avenues towards my personal pursuit of Christ. The pursuit of God is somewhat incongruous when the idea that God is all around us. Although this thought seems out of place, Tozer's passionate writing guides the reader into a new paradigm of one's spiritual emptiness to a road of divine passages of greater revelations to God.

Four Key approaches Tozer Recommends to Draw Close to God

The design of the book is constructed in a way that he provides the reader with as many as ten key concepts; four of them are fundamentally heavy in my personal pursuit of God. These areas are: the pursuit of a personal experience and relationship with God; the pursuit of hearing and discerning God’s voice; the pursuit of God’s omniscience and omnipresent existence; and finally the pursuit of meekness and resting in God’s yoke.

In the quest to find who God is has a beginning. The basics of Christianity is the acceptance of Jesus Christ, that he died on the cross for our sins as “He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.” (1 John 2:2, NKJV) The revelation of his death and resurrection and all awhile knowing that the Creator, God, can possibly damn a person into the darkness of the pit of hell makes one decide on their eternal consequence. This basic knowledge starts the new baby Christian into a life full of hope and belief of something greater than oneself. This new journey into eternity can sometimes be daunting if that new creation has no direction. In the pursuit of God, finding the path of a personal experience with the most Holy and High God is vital in seeking this revelation of who God truly is. If a person has not established the personality of God, it becomes a religion; something that is done on a regular basis without any consequence of not fully experiencing the intimate relationship with God the Father. The danger of missing the personal point, according to Tozer, is that many Christians fall in love with “an ideal and (is) loyal to a mere principle” rather than the “loving Personality (that) dominates the Bible, walking among the trees of the garden and breathing fragrance over every scene”. Once we fully grasp the concept of knowing God on a personal level; someone who walks with us, talks with us, and hears us changes our original pattern of belief that God is only in the heavens, only co-existing with angels up above. This insight causes the new believer to seek God and ask for spiritual eyes to be opened; new ears to hear the voice of God.

The audible voice of God can only be discerned when one is actually in line with the will of God. Since God is a personal God, He is able to speak to His believers in a clear voice so that they know what it is that God wants from them. We are all capable to hear that still small voice that speaks to us in a personal way. God continually speaks to his chosen ones, using methods that are easily acceptable to mere humans. His words are visually communicated through the creation of the bible. The bible speaks volumes in terms of who God is. It is filled with many true stories of the past and future manifestations of what is about to happen. The first chapter of the book of John states how the word of God was and is God. In this book of life, all things are created and it is a witness of the light that is God. The issues most Christians have is the ability to have two way conversations with the Creator, whereas most are only having one-way discussions to God. God’s word clearly states to “be still and know that I am God”. (Psalms 46:10) To listen to that voice takes practice and heading to his direction takes discipline.

Knowing that we have a personal relationship and being able to hear God gives us the idea of God is in attendance wherever and whenever we need him. He has never left our side; He does not solely exist in the heavenly realms surrounded by heavenly creatures. In the chapter titled “the universal presence” he states that “God dwells in His creation and is everywhere indivisibly present in all His works.” He is all around. This key concept allows the new believer to know that God is here. This omnipresence instills faith as well as a fear of God that makes one aware of the consequences of doing what is right or wrong. To be prosperous in the pursuit of God as a complete universal being, one must know that “He is forever seeking to manifest Himself to us. The revelation of God to any man is not God coming from a distance upon a time to pay a brief and momentous visit to the man’s soul.”

As believers we should be humbled in the fact that God seeks us, as much as we desire to seek Him. This idea of “prevenient grace” which is this idea “that before a man can seek God, God must first have sought the man” provides hope that not all is lost in the world. The Sovereignty of God is so powerful that we cannot escape His reality that God loves his people and created them each personally. In this revelation, we must pursue the meekness and resting in God’s yoke. It is common to think of a yoke as a heavy and burdensome task, but with God, He desires us to be united in him which will ultimately free us from bondage that weighs us down. It is ironic to most as the yoke of slavery is a cumbersome commission. The freedom from being set free from the bondages of pride and artificiality creates meekness in the believer that they can be at liberty to be a bondservant to Christ Jesus. The release of these burdens allows God’s light to fully shine and the hostage of sin permitted to serve God unconditionally.

Application of Two of Tozer’s Approaches to My Life and/or Ministry

The first application of Tozer’s approaches to my ministry is the ability to seek and hear God’s voice. I hope to pursue God continuously in prayer, worship, and reading of His word. For me this can be challenging for I do not spend the quality time necessary in relationship with Him to fully grasp what He wants me to see, hear, and feel. Because of the personal relationship that I have is somewhat fairly new to me; I feel that this area is one that needs constant attention. This is the foundation of my life and ministry. If I am to have an effective and successful ministry working with the youth, especially the young teenage girls, I must be in constant communion with my Lord and Savior.

The other application in the Pursuit of God is the pursuit of meekness and rest in God’s yoke. It is another challenge for me to let go of my pride and artificially. For the past 15 years, I’ve lived in Southern California where being fake and plastic is the norm. Many typical Californians have the attitude of “faking it to make it” to accomplish selfish desires. The pursuit of the American Dream is prevalent in this area of the United States. I hope to drop these shades of fear and forged realities to be able to relate to the lost and future generation of leaders. The young people must see the raw and real self that is not perfect but full of God’s grace and mercy. Tozer’s spoke of “the meek man is not a human mouse afflicted with a sense of his own inferiority. Rather he may be in his moral life as bold as a lion and as strong as Samson; but he has stopped being fooled about himself.” Knowing that I am completely unworthy of His death at the cross but being confident in Christ’s power to overcome the impossible is too great for me to miss out on leaving on those shades of imperfections on! I will strive to pursue God in a way that is both humbling but assured of God’s perfect love and power.

Summary and close

In reading the Pursuit of God by A.W. Tozer, I was not able to fully grasp the concepts until I completed this book report. I did not allow the Holy Spirit to pierce my conceptions of how to pursue God. The point at which I completely grasped the ideas of this reading is upon application. These key elements of knowing God personally, hearing is voice, being fully aware of his presence, and to be humbled and resting in his yoke, are essential to effectively finding that path of pursuing our Heavenly Father.

Position Paper ~ Love

“LOVE”

Love is the overflow of affection of one’s heart towards God and other people.

One cannot love God and love others without God's love because God is Love.

God’s love is indescribable, unfathomable, and all the while unconditional as

we mere humans can only grasp a portion of what Pure Love truly is.

This cascading affection from God that spills out of my heart is

acted on, motivates, and pursued upon to enable me to effectually hear His voice.

The rippling effect causes me to be aligned to what He asks me to do, whether it is to be a

witness of God’s goodness or help an old lady with her heavy bags onto the bus.

His unfailing love for me is too much for me to bear as I am completely unworthy of the

selfless passion Jesus sustained on the wooden cross,

but it is humbly accepted by me, one saved by grace and mercy.

It is because of how He Loves me, I know that He will provide

a husband and partner to be an example of

the sacrificial love of God and his bride,

the Church.

I had an amazing weekend! God truly showed up and and spoke to my heart on Sunday! I got to meet Dawn O'Brian host of Hawaii's Christian morning show~95.5 the fish. It was such a pleasure especially after the heart break of my Saturday. It was so refreshing to come to his altar, lay down my pain and have Him take it from me. And, I got to pray with the woman next to me who told me that when I before I prayed for her she had this numbness that stretched from her shoulder to the tip of her fingers and when I laid my hands on her, it disappeared! I felt something because from the moment I prayed with her I felt it too!

I don't get to make "guy" cards very often and this is a special one. It is "just a note" for a friend of mine who rocked out on NHCC's open mic night. The whole night was filled with talented musicians and it was super sweet to be serenaded for a few hours. I could only imagine what it would be like to be serenaded to music like that every night. My favorite accustic guitar player is Tyler Ward...He's so awesome...and very easy on the eyes. ;p *wink*

Aloha Initative

Thank you to John and Cyndi, who opens up their home to Aloha Initiave. They host friends from Japan, those who were affected by the tsunami and earthquake. They not only open up their home, but their hearts.

I had an opportunity to visit with our Japan friends, most names have been forgotten but their smiles and laughter are forever in my hearts. Most of the visitors where 18 to 25. They have big hearts and warm smiles. It was a blessing to be a part of this, even for one night. I hope that this will not be the only time I get to visit with them.

They say in the old times (don't quote me on this) that if you say something 3x it is really important. So God must be HOLY! Can you imagine, in heaven, they cry out 24-7, non-stop, "Holy, Holy, Holy is the Almighty!" Wow! And God does deserve that much praise!

It was a challenging card because I really don't like to use glitter or glue dots. Glitter can get very messy and for some reason glue dots does not stick well with me. If you take a look at the up close shot, the glue dot on the left side is not perfectly round. I don't know why that happens.

Anyone have any ideas?

It was a fun challenge nontheless. I got a chance to play with this month's spotlight "Tini Time". I am in love with this set. I love how the bubbles and starlight things came out. I masked the top papaya starlight thing and was very impressed how it turned out. I actually just covered it with a piece of paper and I was afraid the corner was going to show up. If you looked close enough, you can actually see it. It's a good thing all you get is my photo. Which reminds me, I've got to get a better camera (I'm using my camera phone) and a light box. What I have now is horrible but it'll have to do.

Today, I made steps to re-establish my hawaii roots. I opened up an account at First Hawaiian Bank and got my very own 808 phone number. I was supposed to get my hawaii license but my sister had someone making repairs at her house. By the time the repair guy was done it was 2pm. We left the house at 3pm and Kapolei dmv closes at 4pm.

There was no way to make it out there in time with traffic.

At FHB, the Customer Service Rep, Marie was so nice I wanted to send her a thank you note. She was so sweet and explained everything about my new checking account. Which reminds me to hook up my online banking...lol. ;p We had a chance to talk about many things-living in Hawaii and family. Her daughter will be in college attending a school in New York. They will be taking a trip to the Big Apple in a week. Traveling to other places is so exciting!

Its a great way to make a new friend and to continue to get awesome service at the bank. *wink* It reminded me of when I used work for the credit union. We had our favorites and our un-favorite customers. Of course we would be more lenient to those who were nicer. Treat others how you want to be treated. The golden rule.

Two cards in one night! I'm on a roll! lol...This second card is going to my previous sweet and dear manager: Mildred. On FB she has posted two pictures of the gang drinking and I thought this was very appropriate. I miss her and she was the best manager to work with.

I got a chance to get her a few Hawaiian goodies: chocolate covered macadamian nuts, honey roasted mac nuts, Hawaiian Ice Tea (to be mixed with water); a few white rabbit (filipino candy); this card and a Hawaii post card. So I've been hanging out at SplitCoast Stampers and I'm really liking their challenges. I've told myself that I really want to excel in my trade (cardmaking). Participating in these challenges are a way to get my creative juices flowing and allows me to stretch myself.

At the lounge, we had a chance to call Lara to pratice our booking calls. It was such a great idea and with a bonus: we get a stamp set ~ FOR FREE!!!

All we had to do is call. It was on like Donkey Kong! I did have to wait almost 45 minutes but it was well worth it. Lara said I did a really good job *pats myself on the back* and she gave me lots of great tips! It was super fun! I did say a lot of umms and wells. I gotta practice not doing that. It wasn't really well rehearsed, just kinda went with the flow.

I already had a stamp set in mind (clever girls-pg 55) but I had to ask if we could choose from the new catty. OMG!!! Now I can't decide!!! lol...

I think I'm going to stick with my original choice.

On the OWH (operation write home) blog featured a story about a wounded warrior. PFC Derek McConnell was injured on July 23, 2011. He sustained injuries by an IED. My first Clean and Simple challenge over at SplitCoast Stampers.

This week have been full of firsts...first Mojo Monday, CAS-ual Friday and now this one. Today's Mojo Monday was kinda difficult, the center of the card was a circle and I don't have anything to make circles. I could of used a soup can for an outline but I would rather get a big shot and nessabilites. But that's another $200 bucks or more...hehehe. This hobby can get expensive! It's okay, its well worth it. When I used to go to stamp classes, they would all say "at least it's better than drugs cuz u get something out of it." Very true...drugs, no bueno~stamping~muy bueno. ;p

Last night I completed the A|S August Blog Hop, which was a lot of fun! I can't wait till next month! I got goodies in the mail today, filled with the July spotlight:

Summer Love

This month we were asked to create a project on what summer means to me. Summer reminds me of love and the beach. Living in Hawaii, we get to go to the beach all year round but so much so in the summer with school out of session. I don't have kids but I have a group of teens at my church who always talks about going to the beach during the summer.

The love of my life does not live on the islands, (by choice), so I wanted to make a card dedicated to him. I wish he was here and so I made a special "mung and pung" chair set.

It's my version of "his & hers".

I love the gingham paper ~ I finally opened it up (from the starter kit) and had a chance to play with it. The colors and design are so pretty!

I went to my cousin's BKP 1st anniversary party and they performed their own version of

"Summer breeze". BKP stands for Broke Kids Project. It's a collaboration of teens (from our church) making music. The music is not strictly christian music but a mix of their musical talents. I'm so proud of them, I wish I had a video from last night to show off.

CAS-ual Friday challenges focuses on the "Clean and Simple" style of card making. They embrace the white spaces and the simplicity of cards. I love A Muse Studio products because they too love the clean and simple look.

My A Muse Studio business is off to a very good start and I want to be really good at what I do. What I challenged myself is to participate in challenges to let my creative juices flow and to get better at my trade. These challenges are a great starting off point especially since I get to learn different techniques and go "out of the box".

For this challenge, we had to create a 4x9 card. I've never made a long and short card. It took me a while to think of what I actually wanted to do. I even cut the cardstock wrong! It's okay tho.

Karen Baker's Critters of the sea was so cute, I had to force myself not to use the a|s whale in "keep swimmin'".

The cool thing about this challenge is that they have sponsors who gives away prizes. Who can turn away from a chance to win cool stuff? Bonus ~ Sweet!!! His Holy Name: Sovereign

"How great you are, O Sovereign Lord: There is no one like you. We have never even heard of another God like you."
2 Samuel 7: 22 NLT

God's Sovereignty is something I really couldn't grasp my head around. I don't think that I will ever truely get "God's" concept of how great He is! It's because I am human, and He is God, we will never fully understand the fullness of Him. But He is God and He does make it simpler for us...

He tells us "I am the I am"

Wow, I am so in awe of everything He is. To me, His Sovereignty encompasses ALL that He is! That's the trippy part of it~All - everything, never ending, eternal, righteous, beginning and the end, ect...cuz I can go on and on!

As I reread my scripture and the story behind the verse, my mind is blown away again!

These verses prior to my verse tells us about David winning against the Phillistines. As he returns to the City of David, he is dancing, praying, and worshiping as he brings the Ark of God home.

At home he realizes that he is living in a posh palace while the Ark of the Lord is in a tent.

He then sends for Nathan and shares with him this new dilema.

God reveals to Nathan his future plans for Kind David.

Pretty much God tells Nathan ~ "I've had it good, I've lead my people out of Egypt and I've always lived in a tent - cloud by day, fire by night - so tell David, I'm all good. Now, David's gonna trip because he's gonna have a nicer posh palace, a dynasty of kings, and he's gonna be lengend - wait for it - ary! (for those who watch How I Met Your Mother - Barney Stinston). My homeboy David has been a sheepherder as a boy, as a man, a King. He's gonna have an heir to the throne who will build my temple. A carpenter to say the least. I will secure his royal throne forever.

King David's lineage will forever be known because of ME."

As Nathan shares God's message, David does trip out because he realizes who he is and who God really is. He then gives God glory and worships him. My favorite verse is this:

Then King David went in and sat before the Lord and prayed,

"Who am I, O Sovereign Lord, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?"

2 Sam. 7: 18

See, we are merely nothing without Our Heavenly Father. He chose US to be a part of His family ~ the Sovereignty part is this: He knew us before we sinned, while we sinned, and after our sinning. His grace is there because of His Sovereignty and Love.

This card is inspired by my favorite tree: the Cherry Blossom.

I love the colors and how it represents the evanescent nature of life: blooming and the fall. I would so love to see these beautiful trees in real life in Japan. That would be a winter wonderland.

My other inspiration is a local artist: Artby Winette. She showcases her work at Borders at Ward Center. Oh, I just thought, Borders is going to be closing soon, I hope she has another location!

I found her work through my best friend's sister. I find really facinating stuff by Facebook stalking others (lol...shh...it's not like I'm the only one!) It has (sadly) become a huge habit of mine.

It's been 4 years today.... I read a blog titled "Three Knocks on the door".
I was speechless with tears in my eyes. The story was about a woman who was married to a marine of five years. Just a few days ago, she had a nightmare come to life. There stood three men in uniform with the most horrible news anyone (any military family) would not want to hear. It's heartwenching news...

I support the military wholeheartedly and I wanted to say thank u to my niece, who recently joined the Army National Guard. It's a very girlie card, she's not very girlie but i really liked the pink military outfit.

Jesand's card was intended to be sent to her for 4th of July but I didn't see her.

Elegant Summer Event

The girls created 3 wonderful cards, inspired by A Muse's Ready to Roll Workshops. I love those workshops! They are fairly easy, the measurements are already listed so I just cut the pieces for my class and they just put it together!

I did have 2 cancellations so I had 2 extra sets of cards and treat bags. It's all good tho, now i get to use them for future workshops.

It was a sweet day 7.8.2011.

My sister invited me to hang out with her and her husband at Mililani Launani where he works as a landscaper. Our sewing class was cancelled for some reason and it was a good excuse to be outside.

I'm glad I went, my sister had to convince me to go. I even got some planking done! See my FB. :) LOL...

After the pool sesh, i got to make cards...one for a friend of mine for her anniversary and another for my Impact 195 project.

At 6:30pm, my other sister picked me up for Fuse~a young adult ministry hosted by New Hope Sand Island. It was a sweet event, worship time was awesome! All I want is to be used by God~whatever that is. We fuss and rant and rave about our daily lives~

the speaker told us to just give our frustrations to Him.

I was reminded about Revelations 8:3.

"Then another angel with a gold incense burner came and stood at the altar.

And a great amount of incense was given to him to mix with the prayers of God's people as an offering on the gold altar before the throne." (emphasis mine)

God hears our prayers-He knows our voices!

I pray that our prayers are a sweet auroma to Him!

This is one thing I can not wrap my mind around...He is so amazing in this way that I can not begin to fathom how wonderful this attribute of God is. We think of our daily lives and become so frustrated about the little things. If one can just think of just this one attribute of how ALMIGHTY our GOD is everything else is just gravy!!!

This year's fourth of July turned out to be a very memoriable day.

I thought I wouldn't have much to do but the night before as I was surfing thru Facebook, I noticed my cousin, Ryan had planned to go to Nick and Nate Julian's soccer game. I've never had a chance to watch them play so I asked Ryan if I could catch a ride. Luckily he agreed and we hung out for most of the morning. It was a nice blessing because we were treated to a breakfast potluck after the game.

Although the boys lost this championship, (1-0) they got second place but they still get to play one more game and go to the Big Island. What a treat for them. For our breakfast potluck, the parents brought out gas stoves to make so much food! We had: eggs, spam, portugese sausages, vienna sausages, bacon, omletes and portugese bean soup! There was also donuts, sweet treats, fruit cocktail, watermelon, and pandesal! We were so full that I didn't have to eat till dinner time!

What a treat and a blessing!

During the game Kathleen texted me to see what my plans were. My only plans were to make military cards for the 4th and nothing else, really. So she asked if I knew how to get to Schofield Barracks (the Army base up north), I just told her to head towards Wahaiwa. Then she told me about the annual event they hold every year. I'm glad she told me about it because it was a blast! It was filled with friends, fun, food, and UFO's!

We had such a great time. Although it rained 15 minutes before the fireworks show-we were drenched-the show still went on and the rain stopped. Luckily Velma decided to buy 2 umbrellas at the craft and product area the rain didn't ruin our parade.

It was a fun, creative, and relaxing day of a|s cardmaking! The attendees were my sister, bff, and my bff's 11 yr old daughter. They were both beginner stampers, so they needed more time to learn the basics. I may have been a little tough on the basics, but they fell in love with all the techniques that were taught. All 5 of the cards that they made turned out so pretty and creative! We masked, paper pierced, used copics, and used embelishments. They were both worn out by the end of the night! :)

Today was The Rock Church's Ask event. It was a 12 prayer meeting and boy it was AWESOME! I was only there for four hours but next time, I'll push for the 12 hours. My sister, bless her heart, was there the whole time. It's amazing what prayer can do. Prayer is simply communication with God. A person's prayer is his or her own way to speak to God. It may not be eloquent or grammatically correct but God knows exactly what they are talking about. I love when Pastor Miles prays and tells God that He is "da bomb!" This card is dedicated to Pastor Miles:
The bible verse is Philippians 4:6-7 "Be careful for nothing but in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be know to God. And the peace of God that passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ." When Peter walked on water, he was fine until he took his eyes off Christ. When we pray and ask God we are promised peace and hope. Hope of a way out, hope of love, and hope that our storms of our lives will pass.
How does one pray for hours? The bible has the best answer through the "Lord's prayer" in Psalms *** but Pastor Miles simplifies it with: AWCIPA. Short, simple, and easily remembered. A: Admire; W: Wait; C: Confess; I: Interceed; P: Petition; and A: Admire again.

His love never fails...His unfailing love is so wonderful "and may you have the power to understand as all God's people should how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of christ, thought it is too great to understand fully. then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation foor through him god created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see-such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.

This page has an image of Laminin, the cell adhesion molecule that is in the shape of a cross. According to Wikipedia:

Laminin is a protein found in the extracellular matrix, the sheets of protein that form the substrate of all internal organs also called the basement membrane. It is the major non-collagenous component of the basal lamina, such as those on which cells of an epithelium sit.[1] It has four arms that can bind to four other molecules. The three shorter arms are particularly good at binding to other laminin molecules, which is what makes it so great at forming sheets. The long arm is capable of binding to cells, which helps anchor the actual organs to the membrane.

A few years ago, I saw a video featuring Louie Giglio speaking of this molecule. In his "How Great is our God" dvd talks about Lamini and how it relates to the wonders of God. God is so amazing that He does hold everything together and this molecule is a great example of this fact. When I saw the video it blew my mind!

The church gets a new playground for the kiddos! Although the ground (temporarily there is carpet and someone's foldable bed to cusion the kid's falls) isn't set up yet, they really had a blast testing out the new set up!

Bridesmaids movie and Pearlridge with the BFF!

Bridesmaids was the funnest movie I've seen since the Hangover! We had a great time watching this new type of chick flick, LMAO!!! It's a recommend "must see" girly movie. After the movie we had a session of retail therapy at the mall. Ahh, the joys of shopping with the bestie! For the first time in a LONG time, we rode the monorail and I just had to capture it on film...I hope you enjoy the pics!

Pearlridge was hosting "Ice Age" throughout the mall where they showcased mechanical animals during this period of time. There were many neat displays and the most impressive (as usual) is where they have the kid's train. Sorry, I didn't get pics of that.

Swap Meet Adventures 6.11.2011

rain or shine, us girls are gonna sell you sumptin'

It was a fun day at the kam swap meet in Pearlridge, Hawaii.

A long time ago, my brother, O and cousin, D; we would get up early Saturday mornings to sell our goodies...back then I was a 16-17 yr old teenager trying to make mulaah :)

On this Saturday, we (my bff, bff's daughter, the bff's sister, bff's sister's daughter, and myself) had a very early morning start setting up the tent and all the goodies. It sporadiacally rained throughout the 5 hours we were there, which worked out in our favor because each time it rained we had lots of new customers under our tent. We had over 10 bins of clothes, toys, baby bottles, a car seat, a lot of girly goodies, and a famous pair of sunglasses for sale. The sunglasses became very poplular...i think due to the fact that it was the only thing left on my selling table. Almost everyone who entered into our stall (in this order) picked them up, looked to see who it was made by, either tried it on or looked thru them, and then put it down. All that but still no buyers. Who passes up a great pair of sunglasses for $5 bucks?
This day, it was everyone who looked at it.
Sigh....

The girls did a great job selling, they made over $100 bucks! Me, I shopped more (I really didn't have much to sell) so I think I ended up in the red after the seller's fee.
Oh well, C'est la vie.
It was an awesome adventure in selling goods.

Although I didn't make all the big bucks that day, I did get a blessing by meeting and getting to pray for Kalihi Union Church's mission team to the Philippines. Most of their goodies were donated by the church and I hope they walked away with a good financial blessing towards their trip. Okay, I do feel bad and I'm sorry because I haggled over the prices for a Hello Kitty clipboard and a Hello Kitty photo album from $1 to $.50 cents. I know that's bad especially since they are trying to make money for their trip. I'm sorry guys, please forgive me! They are very useful in my A Muse Studio business! I will think and pray for y'all each time I use it. How's that for redemption?

All in all, it was a well worth adventure at the Kam Swap Meet!

It was three years ago I took my first cardmaking class with Jill Grace at Cool Scrapbook Stuff in Poway, CA. It was then I fell in love with the stamps and their products. I've been an A Muse addict since then! My very first stamp was "wild bouquet" and the "cupcake builder" set. Although I misplaced my cupcakes and had to purchase a second set. It was a very sad moment when my cupcakes went missing. I cried to the girls in the lounge about it. They were sweet and consoled me during this tough time. :( Now for the good news:

I've been working on this scrapbook for a very long time! I haven't been consistent with it but hey, it's a work in progress. Patter Cross is a gifted, talented, and wonderful papercrafter who is the creative genius to this challenge. Memorial Day 2011

Many Rivers One Ocean - the theme in the Lantern Floating Hawaii

Every year for the past 13 years, Hawaii has celebrated the lives of passed on loved ones every Memorial Day. It's a free event that fills Ala Moana beach with thousands of islanders and visitors alike. The event is open to all with or without a religious preference but is lead by the Head of Shinnyo-en Buddhism - Keishu Shinso Ito. Floating lanterns is a Japanese tradition that started long ago. Its a beautiful ceremony with hula dancers, guest performers, and Japanese Taiko drummers. This beautiful tradition symbolizes the wish that all coexist in peace. As the lanterns are released into the ocean, it takes with them thoughts and prayers for all those victums in dispare and hopes of happiness and joy for all - past, present and future.

I was blessed to enjoy my first lantern ceremony this Memorial Day evening with my sister, Sherilyn. It was a very memorial day! As we got there we found a sweet spot in the shade of our vietnamese neighbor's tent which had a great view of the big screen. We also sat behind the host Billy V, a local tv host; so we ended up on TV! Well, kinda anyway...lol. Sherilyn lovingly made sandwiches but we soon eyed some beachgoers with rootbeer floats which she decided to make the trip to gets some. Unfortunately, the beach started filling up and our neighbors took down their tent and my sister lost her landmark back to our spot. To top it off her cell phone lost reception and we had a horrible time communicating. She was lost and getting frustrated by the minute! Luckily another beach neighbor was able to keep an eye on our spot while I left to rescue my stranded sis. After that fiasco we got to watch the rest of the ceremony and join the line of those who had lanterns. In this line of lantern let-goers, we met a "special" person named Sam and his mom. Their lantern was in memory of his father who they lost a few years back. He took a liking to my sister and I which made him keep blowing out his candle so I could re-light it for him. It was a very "unique" moment! We ended the night at the beach by making up words to "Hawaii Aloha" because we forgot the hawaiian lyrics! We were not making fun of the song, we were improvising! After the beach we spent an hour at the mall before it closed for the night. It was a very nice and special night with my sister.

Let Go and Let God...

So I've been going through some stressful and difficult times in my life recently. I wanna get married, find a home for us (I get to/want to buy things....), teach TFC (Teens For Christ) Discipleship, and go back to school. I'm just being a wuss. I pray that I can "Let Go and Let God" but I'm the kind of person asking "Lord, can you show me? What does that look like?" Dude, I don't know about you but I'm praying for the wrong thing. In church I'm taught to "Just pray about it". I got so stress out about life that I got sick about it. Just enough sick to put me through the ER!!! Anyway, my lesson learned: Pray for peace in my heart, what ever that looks like, just give me a "chill pill"....Lift this burden of heaviness off me. For me, I pray that I can chill and Trust Him-whatever that looks like. Although because I don't know what it looks like, I'm scared (heart skips a beat) of what it does look like! Does that make any sense? LOL....

Woahh, I can't believe it's 2011! Where did the time go? It has been a very long while since I've kept up my blog but I've been busy with some changes. First of all, I'm no longer in San Diego, I now live in Hawaii to be with my mom. I guess since I've gotten older I need to focus on my priorties. Richie and I are still together, although he lives on the mainland and I miss him
SOOOOO MUCH! School came to a halt because of my move so hopefully I get to start that off again here on the islands. I started helping out with the youth at my family's church; they are an awesome and fun group: Teens for Christ, Hawaii. It does keep me young I guess...hence the need to stay fit and loose weight...lol. :) As far as my crafting, that too is on break, as soon as I have the space and tools it'll be back on track. That's for all for now!

HSE has taught me God is tangible and REAL, as real as cellphones, backpacks and Starbucks! It's been mind blowing and He continues to Keep it Real! Just as in the chapter of faith in Hebrews 11, without faith, I was unable to quit my job at San Diego Gas & Electric, quit school at California State University San Marcos, create new friendships and establish boundries with others, give up so many things I once held dear to my heart; to endure a life transformation that God had instore for me. He has turned my life upside down and right side up; shown me the ugliness of pride hidden deep inside, exploded the box of "my life", and will continue to work with in me till the day I'm dancing on streets of gold. See, without Faith it is impossible to do right by God. Some days are tougher, where all I can do is to cry out "Abba, Father, Daddy~it hurts" but victorious and joyful are the days when I get to rejoice with the angels as a life is forever changed! We're not promised a "happy" life, we are given the promise of land of milk and honey, in that land there are deep valleys and mountain tops; most of the days it's flat land, all you can do is take one step at a time. Through it all, with faith, it will be super sweet!

Love Out Loud Tour!!!!!!!

God is AMAZING!!!!

There is so much to say, but that sentence pretty much sums it all. Yuppers. :) For the last 3 weeks, we have been on the "Love Out Loud" tour where we got to love on others and our mission was to make the LOVE of God tangible and real, show others that it is something that they can see, hear, and feel, introduce them to Jesus, so He can seal the eternal deal!
He really is in control, though, not that I had to say it.
God loves us so much the psalmist tells us:

Psalms 139:17 and 18
"Oh how precious are your thoughts about me, O God.
They cannot be numbered! I can't even count them.
They outnumber the grains of sand!
And when I wake up, you are still with me!"

His plan is perfect and no matter how much you want your way, His way will be the only way. So you see, I had an opportunity to travel with the Israel team but God had other plans. Two days before we were to take off, I had become so sick I was not in the right state to travel across to the distant land of the chosen people. I had to stay home but I got a chance to heal. God is Jehovah-Rapha: The Lord who heals:

Psalms 103:1-3
"Let all that I am praise the Lord;
with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.
Let all that I am praise the Lord;
may I never forget the good things he does for me.
He forgives all my sins and heals my diseases."

What an amazing God we serve and loves us not for who we are but because of who HE is!

So after a week of healing I had a chance to join my friends in the Coachella Valley-Palm Desert-Palm Springs area. The people there were are so blessed! I won't be able to even begin to share how much God moved in not only their hearts but ours! The tour has touched my heart so much there is no doubt that God is Real! I saw the love and amazement of the people there, so many lives were introduced if not reconnected to Jesus! For right now, this very moment, the most momentous time was on one of the BBQ outreaches (It was just a few days after the Thanksgiving one in Thermal). HSE had turned an empty dirt lot into a large festival. Two buses filled the majority of the space with the band in between. There was chairs, tables, a balloon animal table, face-painting, and the food team making a delicious meal. The space filled with students and tons of kids! They were all so sweet! The best is watching two beautiful little girls dancing to the music and singing along! There were a few of those children that stepped up to receive Christ!
It was an overall wonderful trip and I can't wait for HSE 2!

God is truly amazing!!!!!

Four months?!?

Wow! I can not believe it's been Four months since I've entered in my blog!!! So much has happened in these short (but seems like long) months. First I've dedicated to God Five months to revolutionize my life and He did it in three! I've still got a long way to go but OMG, I have changed so much, I don't know where to start! Okay, here's the long story short (hopefully one day I'll be able to re-write it in more detail...) In the beginning (since my last post~) God was there...I've been interested in finding out more about a school my friend Jenn told me about. The Horizon School of Evangelism. Four months ago, Jenn mentioned HSE was having Vision Week-an intro about the school. I just knew I had to attend. I had a chance to visit twice before: Once during Jenn's Vision Week (the beginning of her semester) and on Friend day. I missed her graduation ~ partly because of drama (yuck!). The thought of attending HSE never really crossed my mind, just the sense of attending Vision Week. So the first day of Vision, a leader, Michelle, asked "Why not this semester?" Of course, I had my job, my promotion, my raise, my set schedule, my CSUSM, and my excuses. So I got an application and prayed about it. Each day God's been tugging at my heart "For a time such as this..." My soul was saying "why wait? why put God in the back burner?" My flesh said "no way, next semester, you'll be good next semester." So by Friday I turned in my application and Thank God, I had tuition~ AND I quit my job and school (California State University of San Marcos ~ I was on my way of finishing my Bachelors degree). Saying yes to the Lord in this way was very scary to me. It was a new way of living, not having a job. I was okay with it because I knew after I quit I could cash out my 401k. But that's another story. This was a MAJOR step in FAITH for me.

The interview with Robin was so revealing! She pointed out that I was the shrub in Jeremiah 17, in the dry desert. That day I cried my heart out to the Lord; I was this starving and parched child of God that was left in a dry wasteland of Life, so wanting to be freed, feed, and nourished! Robin welcomed me with open arms into the school and I prayed she was my leader. She's so beautiful, a Princess of the King of Kings, Our Heavenly Father. That next week, I had the chance to meet so many more "children of the King". New found friends but I was so shy. That week was Wilderness prep and more of the bible teachings. We were placed in "families" and I was so quiet, not wanting to ask questions or talk to anyone really. I felt like an outsider, an adopted child, the unwanted. Wilderness changed all that.

If I wrote a book of my life it would be called: My Train of Thought Crashed into God's Island of Peace. It does need a shorter title, though.

Humm....anyways, yes, Wilderness was such an amazing trip: a week of hiking on the beautiful island of Catalina, California. I was placed in a wonderful family: Tiffany and Matt (leaders) then my "sisters": Pam, Diana, Marnie, Brittan (so wonderful her parents named her after the land of greatness! lol), Jessie and Jackie. My "brothers" are: Mike ("Get in the truck kids! Time for ice cream"), Dave, John, Wil, and Cody. The leaders encouraged us that whatever issues we had in life to take it to the island and leave it there. I did...but the peace of the changes I've committed to is still an ongoing process. I hope that makes any sense. :)

We went on wilderness as friends but returned to school as a united and loving FAMILY. HSE2 sent us off with style and we returned the love by sending them out in style as well! They were leaving for Nehemiah (HSE2's version of Wilderness ~ they studied the book of Nehemiah all day, non-stop); The students for HSE1 got together and planned (it was so last minute ~ thanks to Wil and I working together) "one of the best send offs" (quoted by Ali, a leader). We had the works: The guys as luggage valet, we had two rows of greeters, lavish breakfast buffet, Heather, Brittan, Jay, and a worship group saranading everyone. It was GREAT!

After those trips we had the Huddle, where all the older alumnis and missionaries, get together to talk about the mission field. We had the privilege of "serving the servants, and washing the feet of the warriors". It was an amazing time! I did feel kinda bummed that on Saturday I was working but it became a blessing because I got to know my other brothers and sisters In Christ.

Dovetail was the only other outing besides outreach days outside of the school. Outreach were on Fridays where we went out to the communities (for example, Ocean and Mission Beaches, Old town trolley or Balboa Park) to share the Good News. It was all day worth of work, nothing but packing green beans ~ in food packs. Others had their own food product, and all the products had to be placed in each box in its specified place or else the box will not close. It was so awesome though! I wish I could describe it better. This is an experience I wish everyone could experience.

It's been a tough week. It feels as if I've ran around from here to there and prayed so much more this week than any other times. Although I'm extremely thankful for this trying time. This week we were unsure of our living situation, it all started with a letter in the mail on Monday. Luckily, it ended with a sigh of relief on Saturday morning. We still have uncertainties up in the air but I trust God that he'll provide a way. Prayer and Faith...without these two I would be in trouble!

It's a few days early but I may not be on much since I have a 3-day weekend! These come far and few between so I'm hoping to take full advantage of it! I don't know what we have planned but the main thing on my agenda is to watch fireworks! Two years ago, Rich and I were in our boat in San Diego bay and to watching the fireworks was awesome! It's a great experience, that I hope to do again someday soon.
Whatever the plans may be, I wish everyone a fun and safe holiday!

I hate slow internet connections. I have been waiting to post these pictures of the cards I just created and my wireless connection is lagging! It's funny because I'm all irritated about it and I glance at the verse I wanted to post for today. John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." Although I may be annoyed with my computer, I thank God for that peace that passes all understanding. Right now my life feels like a disaster. I stress about things I have no control of: work, school, FINANCES, my dogs, and my house. The Bible tells me to be anxious of nothing, all I have to do is pray and ask. With the way the world is today, I'm good, I don't have to stress and loose sleep, it could be worse. With that, the peace fills my heart and I know that I'm blessed. You too can have this peace, all you have to do is ask and receive it. God loves you!

Another Mundane Monday

Yesterday was Father's Day and I forgot I had made this card a few months ago. The verse is Matt. 4:18; "He said, Follow me and I will make you fishers of men." At church yesterday there was a skit with a little girl in a princess dress trying to attract the attention of her father. The father was busy on the computer and cell phone. I don't know what the song is but it brought tears to my eyes something about dancing with the princess and needing to practice her dance. Finally the father took notice and danced with the little girl. The skit took the audience through other times of her life: her prom and marriage, both with the fathers dancing with their little (or not so little, anymore) girls. It was really sweet.

My father passed away this March but I never really had that "daddy's girl" type of relationship. When I saw that skit it solidified my prayers that my kids will have that type of father I never had. My BF, my wonderful Richie, also shares my thoughts. We both want our kids to have a solid foundation with God in the center and a loving home. But before the kids, we gotta work on ourselves. I just hope I'm not too old to enjoy it! I'm kinda afraid I'll be in a wheelchair before my babies are teenagers! LOL....Ah, it's all God's timing and it's perfect timing!

Back to the card, I had wanted to submit the card to be on Christian Paper Crafts Magazine but I missed the deadline. There's always next time!

It's been a while since my last post, gosh it sounds as if I'm in confession. Blogmaster, forgive me for I have sinned against my blog....
It's been a long couple of weeks, busy with stuff and more stuff.
A few weeks back I had in my heart to start a card making/scrapbook ministry at my church. Well, on June 6th, we had our launch party. Creative Grace was started and we made Father's day cards. Along with my co-leader, Becca and I got together our goods to host it at Jenny's house. We had a great time, as seen in the photo: Levy, Janet, Allison, and Becca. The girls are showing off their origami shirts for the Father's day cards.
It was so much fun I can't wait till the next one!

I've always want to see Cirque du Soleil, the closest I've come to it was walking by the theater in Vegas. *frowns* One day. My attempt to create a card with flying trapeze and strong men didn't turn out so well. Oh well...maybe I'll tweek it more and it'll work on something else. Yesterday, I attended a dear friend Diane's baby shower and she blessed me with paper! So many pretty papers, my mind was racing of the cards I can make! Thank you so much, Diane! It was very sweet of you! I appreciate it very much.

Operation Mail Call

From the start of my addiction with A Muse, Geeta had created a challenge for Operation Hero Mail. Her challenge was to create cards for our military personnel serving our country overseas. The result of the challenge, she had collected 1001 handstamped cards to be sent to our troops! It was a great way to show our support!(Hero Ian-The Greeting Farm)
The Rock Church Military Ministry has adopted a squadron: Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron One . It's been on my heart to create and send handmade cards to these guys and gals. The squadron consists of 350 men and women overseas. They are in battle daily and think of home constantly. By sending words of encouragement and support, they will know that they are loved and not forgotten. I've also created a new blog: Operation Mail Call. It is designed to have devotions to share the love of God, spiritual growth, and knowledge of the bible.
With Jesus all things are possible.
We love and support our troops and pray for their safe and speedy return home!

Here's my card for Glenda's weekly challenge. This week was to use scraps. This was a fairly easy since I have tons of scraps! The only thing is new is the stamps, newly inked. Does that count? I hope so. Glenda, thanks for this challenge because I got a chance to clean and purge my scrap box! It needs more organizing but I got it down to three scrap boxes: large scraps, medium, and small-but-usable scraps. There were a lot of white card stock pieces that I could now use instead of using a new full sheet!

Today we celebrate the rising of our Lord, Jesus Christ. On Friday The Rock church hosted the movie "The Passion of the Christ." It was the first time I've seen the movie. There is so much to digest especially because it was only since last summer that I rededicated my life to God. Through the movie, I kept thinking, "Lord, you did all that for, me, a measly sinner, I am not so worthy of that!" But He loved us, each and everyone of us to die on the cross, to sacrifice his body, all so that we may have eternal life in Heaven!
Thank you, Lord, for your greatest sacrifice and your Love for us all! You deserve all the glory and praise!

I love the new stamps from A Muse! I've been playing scratchers and lotto just so I can buy new stamps, lol! My BF quizzes me and the prizes are $100 shopping sprees at Papertales....The bad thing is that the quizzes are to guess the singer of a song that is playing or what movie is the song from. I'm really bad with singers, titles and song lyrics. It's very frustrating especially because I want to win the prize! Talk about torture!

I messed up on the bird, I tried to cover it up with blue stickles. I would of started again but could not replace the note card. I'll just say that it's the illusion of the bird just landing on the branch. Yup, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. :)

Other than the challenges on the A Muse lounge, this is the first challenge on The Greeting Farm. It's the Don't be square challenge. Do you recognize the the Humvee? It's from the A Muse Hero Mail set, enlarged to 350%. I didn't know how to enlarge on my scanner so the lovely ladies at the library helped me out. Thank you! On the inside I stamped the sentiments: "we salute you" and "looking forward in your safe return." I'm so excited for my project (mentioned in my earlier blog) I actually got started, now it's just to get it together and present it. A life verse is a verse in the bible that has a special meaning to your life. My life verse is one I've held on to since I was a child, my "go to" verse, this has helped me in all the times, I questioned; "why?" It's his will, his way, and he knows what's best for you. Trust in him. Many times in my life, I see this verse and it's hard for me to let go of junk in my life. I hold on to so many stuff that I hold dear to my heart, like a child not wanting to let go of a favorite toy, I cry and argue because I don't want to let it go. But to let it go is to obey his will and his will is for something much greater! We can't see the end of the tunnel, but God knows our {hurtful} past, will carry us through our present, and wants to see us to the future.

"Trust in the Lord will all your heart, Lean not unto your own understanding, In all your ways, acknowledge him, and he shall direct your path." Proverbs 3:5-6.

It's all about consistency with me. One of my new year's resolution is to be consistent, I'm a procrastinator and this is one way for me to stick to something and make it a part of my life. I've had a project in my heart for quite sometime now, and I'm praying my heart is in the right place and many people will be blessed by it. I just need to start-it seems overwhelming and being the procrastinator that I am, I'm having a rough start. Please pray for me! On to another item, since I've started my crafting/cardmaking, I've found so many other Christian Crafters and I'm fascinated by their work! Lord, I hope that I may use my Time, Talent, and Treasure for Your purpose! A wonderful woman of God, Patter Cross, had created two challenges, His Holy Name and Scripture Challenge. Both are a great way to create something meaningful and share your faith. I'm a few weeks behind but I'll catch up. Through SplitCoast Stampers, I found a calling for a Chrisitan Paper Craft Magazine. It's a new publication that will start in August 2009. I may not have much supplies, but I'm working on a few cards for that publication. I know I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me! Keep me in your prayers!

Since I've been out, wandering, finding my mojo (lol!) I've missed a weekly challenge and have this week to do as well. The birthday card is from Glenda's weekly challenge #17, to use 2 or more patterned paper. The second card I thought may be more difficult, challenge #18 was not to use any coloring, no copics (What, are you crazy, not use copics?!? lol!), markers, pencils, spicas, crayons, nothing! So, think simple, Think A Muse, and viola-- "You're the sprinkles on my cupcake!" I didn't even plan it but the pattern on the cupcake top is pink hearts...awhhh! Genius! Can you tell I like rainbow colors? LOL...it reminds me of my home, Hawaii. I've been really missing home, just being around my family. If you've ever been to Oahu or the Hawaiian Islands, there's nothing like it, the weather, people, and the food! It even smells like home, if that makes sense! I should plan another trip back home. That sounds like a plan! Now to find some moolahh to go! LOL!
I wanted to dedicate today's post to my father, it's been a year since he's been gone. Home isn't the same without him though.
