True Hero

Image
True Hero PFC Derek McConnell On the OWH ( operation write home ) blog featured a story about a wounded warrior.  PFC Derek McConnell was injured on July 23, 2011.  He sustained injuries by an IED.  More information is on Caring Bridge's website.  It is written by his mother.  Its a bittersweet journey that she's going through.  Take a few minutes to read and sign her guest book.  Walking with my Wounded Warrior I found my video about my True Hero.  I was really stoked that I still had it because I thought I lost it forever when my Dell laptop broke.  I hope you enjoy this video.  Please continue to pray for our military men and women; and their families. in memory of JPM 12.06.77 ~ 07.24.07

In memory....

In memory of Josh... a drawing left on his guest book It's been 4 years today.... I read a blog titled "Three Knocks on the door".  I was speechless with tears in my eyes.  The story was about a woman who was married to a marine of five years.  Just a few days ago, she had a nightmare come to life.  There stood three men in uniform with the most horrible news anyone (any military family) would not want to hear.  It's heartwenching news... Here's the link to the story...I would not be able do the story justice. The Dudleys My prayers for comfort and strength goes out to Mary Dudley and her family.

At the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring We remember them. At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of summer We remember them. At the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of autumn We remember them. At the beginning of the year and when it ends We remember them. As long as we live, they too will live, for they are now a part of us as We remember them. When we are weary and in need of strength We remember them. When we are lost and sick at heart We remember them. When we have joy we crave to share We remember them. When we have decisions that are difficult to make We remember them. When we have achievements that ar...
