Ignite!

Image
Oh the joys of crafting and card making!  I had an opportunity to share my talent and supplies to my ignite group yesterday and the girls made super awesome cards!  We were short on time so I was unable to take pictures of their awesome creations but this one is made by Lauren, the sweetest, most bubbly woman of God!  I love her laugh and I look forward to seeing her beautiful smile.  I even love getting hugs from her, they are so welcoming!  The best thing about her and card making is that she's a beast at making cards!  The cards she's made are outstanding!  I can't wait to make more of them with her! <3

V-day creativity in process

Image
On Sunday, I had a chance to get all creative and make treats with the girls at the NHCC dorms.  It was so nice to get together and make a bunch of goodies!  These girls had a ton of fun and they are so talented! I love these girls so much!  from left to right: Megan, Esther, Lauren, Yuzuri, and me!! When creativity happens... to the loves of our lives: our friends <3 up close and personal ;p The mustache ones are my favorites!  They were done by Megan! <3

Happy Birthday, Amuse!

Image
I love Amuse artstamps! It's been so long since I've seen what the girls have been working on and their latest release is wonderful! Everything's rosey! OMG, I want it all! Today they had a blog hop and it was the most wonderful hop ever! I thing I'm gonna do it again! If you don't know what a blog hop is, it is a group of websites that are connected and you hop to each one to admire the artist work. It starts on the Amuse blog . <-click here to start. Anyway, I woke up in the middle of the night thinking about my mom's card for Sunday. I haven't seen her in 3 years and I miss her like crazy! Hopefully I get to see her soon before it's too late. Well enjoy the card! Dets: Amuse-4bar Robin's egg blue solid notes, chair and lamp, flourish frame, happy mother's day, and flower branch. Nikki's latest work...She's getting really good at this! She loves The Greeting Farm stamp sets and the patterned paper! Inside is Amus...

Random Amusing Challenge # 23

Image
The top card was inspired by the colors of Glenda's weekly challenge but in my mind I wanted it to turn out much differently. The challenge was to use this picture for an inspiration: I've always want to see Cirque du Soleil, the closest I've come to it was walking by the theater in Vegas. *frowns* One day. My attempt to create a card with flying trapeze and strong men didn't turn out so well. Oh well...maybe I'll tweek it more and it'll work on something else. Since the picture also promoted Mother's day I added a Mother's day card.

Random Amusing Challenge # 22

Glenda's challenge this week was to use pink and green. It was completed by using A Muse's pretty papers, salt box celebration sayings and wild bouquet. I've been so behind in my blogging and creating. Finals are next week and I've been busy trying to organize my house and life. Oh well, that's life! Some thing's gotta give!

Random Amusing Challenge # 21

The best card i ever made: saltbox studio - celebration saying hi, friend it "pops" out this is the best card i ever made i gave it to someone very special Romi I. <3 This week was not to use patterned paper and I almost used it! As I was about to adhere the pattern paper, I remembered! So I hope that the stamps doesn't count. ;) *wink* This card is a new technique card I learned from Hero Arts , I believe it was from Jennifer Mcguire. I wanted to add a link but I can't find it now. Sorry! If I find it I'll up date this entry. recipe: stamps: A Muse: essential oval set, oval frames, flower branch and saltbox celebration sayings. Notecard: A Muse chiffon green. Paper: DCWV latte matstack. The first technique cards are usually the hardest but as I make more I know it will be much simpler. Especially since I forgot to add the part where you pull to make the card "pop out."

Random Amusing Challenge # 19

Here's my card for Glenda's weekly challeng e. This week was to use scraps. This was a fairly easy since I have tons of scraps! The only thing is new is the stamps, newly inked. Does that count? I hope so. Glenda, thanks for this challenge because I got a chance to clean and purge my scrap box! It needs more organizing but I got it down to three scrap boxes: large scraps, medium, and small-but-usable scraps. There were a lot of white card stock pieces that I could now use instead of using a new full sheet! A Muse: stamps: three cups, what's brewing, other: twinkle stars, paper: vintage red, card base: wausau classic cardstock.

Happy Easter!

Image
Happy Easter! Today we celebrate the rising of our Lord, Jesus Christ. On Friday The Rock church hosted the movie "The Passion of the Christ." It was the first time I've seen the movie. There is so much to digest especially because it was only since last summer that I rededicated my life to God. Through the movie, I kept thinking, "Lord, you did all that for, me , a measly sinner, I am not so worthy of that !" But He loved us, each and everyone of us to die on the cross, to sacrifice his body, all so that we may have eternal life in Heaven! Thank you, Lord, for your greatest sacrifice and your Love for us all! You deserve all the glory and praise! Stamps are A Muse-mini chic bee (w/o the bee); basket from simple celebrations, and Eggstravaganza. Pattern paper from DCWV-Latte, A Muse pretty paper. The chic's shadow didn't turn out the way I wanted, but it's okay.

Simple card

Just a simple one tonight. I love stickles! No coloring on her dress, just stickles. I'm exhausted! Today was the first time ever that I've given blood. It wasn't all that bad! I may do it again, although I will definitely have lunch before I give. They did have yummy treats! Donate Blood, you'll be a true HERO.

{MIA} Where's my Mojo?

Image
a muse clear stamp set So I've been MIA this past week or so. Crazy...Life has a way of getting to you and your mojo is lost in the mix. Well, it's a new month and I got new stamps! Humm, the blue light special is the three cups and what's brewing, I think it's time for another order. Maybe start this morning with coffee as well. Today has been my first day off in what seems like weeks, so I've got a million of things to do today! So here I go, first with a card to get me motivated....Have a wonderful Thursday, Blog world!
